Financial advice that suits you.
Getting help from a financial adviser to plan ahead can help you kick start the life goals you want.
Major traumas like cancer, heart attack or stroke can have a massive impact on you and your family. And in a worst-case scenario, you might experience more than one of these over the years. While most traditional trauma covers pay out once for a specified serious condition, our Trauma Multi Cover can support you if you find yourself fighting through a range of serious illnesses or injuries during your lifetime.
Trauma Multi is specifically designed to help you through multiple trauma events, even for the same type of condition. It allows you to protect yourself for up to 5 separate benefit claims - for example if you claimed for cancer, and then subsequently had a heart attack, both claims would be paid with no stand-down period.
It even allows you to claim for payments under the same definition as long as they’re unrelated and the events occur more than six months apart. (So if you had cancer and an unrelated cancer was diagnosed more than six months later, you would be eligible to claim for that too, provided it was verified by specialist as being unrelated). This is particularly relevant if a person has had cancer before – as they are more likely to be susceptible to another form of it in future, compared to someone who’s never had it.
