Brian is a highly experienced and respected business figure in New Zealand, having held a number of senior positions and directorships. In 2013 he retired from DB Breweries after 20 years as CEO and Managing Director, before taking up the role of Chairman of the company’s board for a further year.
A Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, he has considerable governance experience. He is currently Chairman of Hynds Limited and Barworks Hospitality Group. He also chairs the New Zealand Leadership Institute, part of the Auckland University Business School.
Anne has been a Director of Fidelity Life since 2011 and holds numerous other positions including directorships of TSB Bank Limited, TSB Group Investments Limited, Fisher Funds Management Limited, New Zealand Venture Investment Fund Ltd, Development Auckland Limited and the Auckland University, Committee for Auckland. Anne is also the Chairperson of the Royal District Nursing Service NZ. Anne has a background in banking, governance and strategic advice.
Simon is a chartered financial analyst, he has held a number of executive and governance roles, including with ANZ Bank and Brook Asset Management Limited.
He has a broad knowledge of local and global investment markets and regulatory regimes. Simon was a member of the Securities Commission and chaired the FMA Establishment Board. He currently holds a number of directorships including Callaghan Innovation and is Chairman of Serko Limited.
Ian is a Chartered Accountant, Company Director and was the Chairman of Fidelity Life for 16 years. Ian is also the Chairman of the Leukaemia & Blood Cancer Endowment Fund Trust and Northcote RD1 Holdings Ltd (Smales Farm). Ian was a partner in his own accounting firm Adsett & Braddock specialising in business advice, taxation and strategic planning. He was previously a partner at Deloitte New Zealand.
Carole has been a Director of Fidelity Life since 2004. She was formerly Chair of the Earthquake Commission's Reinsurance Committee and was an Earthquake Commissioner for eight years, retiring from that position in 2009. Other previous directorships include Chair of Mighty River Power for 11 years, Chair of DamWatch Services Ltd, Chair of the Legal Services Agency and Deputy Chair of Transpower New Zealand Limited. Carole is a former board member and partner of major commercial law firm, Simpson Grierson, and was a Trustee and Director of Sothern Cross Healthcare Group.
Alan is an internationally experienced CEO and marketing director, who has worked for high profile national and global organisations including Telecom (now Spark Limited) and Heineken International. He is currently a Principal and Director of Quantiful Limited, a marketing technology company he founded, focused on the use of big data and machine learning to provide analytics based insights and consumer engagement programmes.
Alan holds a number of directorships with companies including Designworks (NZ) Limited, and Area360 Limited. He is also an investor and director of a number of data and digitally focused early growth companies including STQRY and is chairman for Parrot Analytics Limited. In addition, Alan is on the Board of ICE Angels.
Jeff is a Chartered Accountant and a partner in Meltzer Mason, which specialises in liquidations and receiverships, with particular expertise in solvent liquidations. His firm is well-known as insolvency specialists involved with liquidations, receiverships and workouts. He also acts as a commercial mediator for disputes resolution. In 2013 Jeff was appointed a Director of Housing New Zealand Limited, a Government owned entity that owns over 64,000 residential properties designated for social housing.

Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Nadine is responsible for formulating and implementing the company’s strategic plan; and facilitating and overseeing the company’s day to day operations.
Nadine is a highly experienced executive in the Financial Services sector with a background working in both local and international markets. She has proven experience in leading and developing high performing teams through inspirational authentic leadership, coaching and clear communication with an overall values based approach. Nadine brings a unique ability to connect with people in a way that inspires excellence, commitment and high levels of engagement. Nadine joined Fidelity Life in October 2016.
Chief Customer Officer
Don joined Fidelity Life in February 2017 and brought with him a wealth of experience in the financial services sector with a background in customer experience, innovation, marketing, transformation and strategic leadership.
Before moving to New Zealand from the United Kingdom he worked with a number of financial services brands internationally including AMP UK Financial Services, AXA, and Royal and Sun Alliance. Most recently he was Executive Manager, Customer Strategy & Innovation at Suncorp for five years.
Head of Risk & Compliance
Anna is responsible for ensuring all risk and compliance requirements for Fidelity Life are understood and there is an effective framework embedded within the business to meet them. Anna has over 15 years’ experience, having previously worked at Deloitte New Zealand and RSA (United Kingdom). She has been with Fidelity Life since February 2008.
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Ed ensures prudent management of the company’s resources, as well as compliance with laws and regulations.
Ed has extensive experience in the global insurance industries, having held a variety of roles in London, Bermuda and New Zealand. Ed trained as an accountant with PwC gaining experience on a number of London Market clients, before working for a Bermuda based reinsurer in finance and underwriting roles. Before joining Fidelity Life, he was Financial Controller for The Edge in Auckland.
Head of People & Talent
Leading the People & Talent team, Stacey is responsible for providing the full spectrum of people services, including employment relations, talent and organisational development, engagement and culture, remuneration and reward, communications, HR service provision, recruitment, and health & safety.
People are critical to the success of our business. The People & Talent team is committed to improving organisational performance and achieving results through people, in particular building leadership capability and embedding a high performance culture.
Chief Distribution Officer
Having joined Fidelity Life in October 2017, Adrian is responsible for driving Fidelity Life’s unified distribution strategy, including Retail, Group and Strategic Alliances.
Adrian brings a strong background in insurance and adviser networks to Fidelity Life. He has held senior executive roles at Sovereign and Zurich Australia and most recently has been Head of Customer Strategy at icare NSW where he drove customer strategy for Australia’s largest general insurance services provider delivering insurance and care services on behalf of the New South Wales Government.
As a statutory officer of the company, John is responsible for advising the Board of Directors on the sound financial management of the company.
John has 34 years’ experience in the life insurance industry in Zambia, England, Zimbabwe and New Zealand. He was Fidelity Life’s Company Actuary from 2000, and became Appointed Actuary in 2012. John was Secretary of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries from 2006 to 2014 and is currently a member of the International Actuarial Association’s insurance accounting committee.
Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer, Neale is primarily responsible for overseeing the Underwriting, Claims, Client Services and New Business departments, as well as the Wellington office.
Neale has worked in the life insurance industry for 37 years, with 22 years’ experience in South Africa and 15 years in New Zealand. During his career, he has worked in various roles including underwriting, claims and client services. Neale also served as an Executive Director at Relyant Life in South Africa for four years, before joining Fidelity Life in January 2002.
